Vacations are great because you can purposefully and blissfully look forward to doing all that you really feel like doing and nothing of what you tend to feel obligated to do in your daily life. No errands, laundry, cooking, budgets, emails to read or reply to (don’t do it), a depressing full time job to drive to, and depending on what type of vacay you go on, no kids and/or significant others. Take a deep inhale and exhale with me, “Aaaaaahhhhhh.” I...

There's a little 4 letter F word that will either propel you into ecstasy or put a choke hold on you; stifling your creativity, courage, and most importantly, the change that you want so much to see and be. For a brilliant professional like yourself, it's absolutely critical to recognize what this is when it appears,  how to face it, and how to keep moving when the easiest thing to do is to do nothing. This thing I'm talking about, it's called FEAR....

The way you describe what you do is more important than what you do. Think this is a bold statement? Think about it. Creativity is the gold in all that glitters in business. There is an overcrowded sandbox of sameness out there and you deserve to be heard. Words make all the difference and perception is everything. This weekend I will do something I've never done before: drive my daughter to Maryland to drop her off for a full week of sleep away camp!  I must say that it has come way too fast.  She's never left me for longer than a week to stay with family and truthfully, most of those times were because I was the one traveling.  I'm practicing my breath and allowing good feelings, not those associated with angst, fear, and separation anxiety....

Still scratching your head when it comes to the thought of incorporating social media activities into your busy day, every day? You have the social part already.  Each time you're outside doing errands you exchange friendly greetings, smiles, or head nods to people you don't know.  You have conversations with the people at your dry cleaner, grocery store, post office, coffee shop, bank, clothing store...

When communicating with others to grow your network and to provide information about your business, creativity in how you produce and share your content is really important.  You want to make sure people actually read or watch what you have to offer, and to do this you can bet on what I like to call the 3 E's to Effective engagement: Educate Enrich  Entertain Your content must educate your audience by giving them free information and showing them how what you...

I was inspired today by two of my mentors, Ash Ambridge and Danielle LaPorte to do a post today on encouragement and truth.  We all must speak our own truths to set ourselves free AND to let others know they are not alone in this world. Here we go, my simple truths. I believe that I'm destined for greatness.  Like Dr. Martin Luther King said, "Not everybody can be famous but everybody can be great because greatness is determined by service." I know...
