Beach St. ThomasI will never forget my trip to St. Thomas nearly six years ago. It was the last stop on my cruise and it was my absolute favorite. The day was a little overcast but that meant nothing to the spectacular view. I remember thinking how fortunate the people who had homes tucked away in the mountains overlooking the ocean were, to be able to take in such scenery everyday. There’s plenty of seclusion in the hills, but with a windy trip down to the mainland, one can enjoy the convenience of a variety of shopping venues, great cuisine, and enjoy the sun and sand of St. Thomas’s beautiful beaches.

St. Thomas is just one of the islands that can provide a number of exciting and intriguing environments to fit just about any personality. St. John offers a tranquil atmosphere like quiet beaches and extraordinary trails, since two-thirds of the island is a National Park. St. Croix, the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands is a place of rich culture and historical architecture. This is a great island to visit to be immersed in island living that reflects the past.

Oh, I did forget to mention that the weather is tropical and gorgeous! What more could you ask for? Hmm, well, if you’re thinking of an end of summer getaway for an anniversary, a trip with friends, or a future place to hold a business conference, U.S. Virgin Islands has you covered. The bonus to traveling to this fabulous destination is the fact that you don’t need a passport!
